We are delighted to once again welcome teaching students from The University of Notre Dame Australia, who have travelled all the way from Perth, Western Australia, to continue their teaching practice and experience the English education system.

This year, we are pleased to introduce Miss Therese Topliss, who specialises in English, Drama and RE, and Miss Laura Jenkins, whose specialisms are Geography and History.

Over the coming weeks, they will be working alongside our staff, supporting lessons, getting to know our students and experiencing life in a busy British Catholic school community.

It’s wonderful to have them with us and, from what we’ve seen so far, they are already settling into the “Darlo” way of life very well!

We hope they enjoy their time at Carmel, create many happy memories, and experience the warmth, welcome and strong sense of community that make our college such a special place.

Safe to say, the North East weather may take a little more getting used to than the students!
