What a fantastic day for our Year 9 and 10 athletes at the English Schools Cross Country County Round at Preston Park!
Every student gave their all, demonstrating incredible determination, resilience and team spirit throughout the competition. We are immensely proud of the way they represented Carmel College and embraced the challenge against some of the county's strongest runners.
County Champions!
A special congratulations goes to our two county winners, who produced outstanding performances on the day:
🥇 Olly finished 1st in the Intermediate Boys' race
🥇 Lucy finished 1st in the Intermediate Girls' race, an even more remarkable achievement given that she is currently in Year 9.
Their hard work, dedication and commitment to training have truly paid off, and we are delighted to celebrate their success.
Regional Qualification Secured
There was further success for Carmel as our Intermediate Boys' Team finished 3rd overall, earning qualification for the next stage of the competition at Stewart's Park.
This excellent team achievement reflects the strength, depth and determination of our cross-country squad and is a testament to the support and encouragement they give one another.
A Day to Remember
From exceptional individual performances to a fantastic team result, it was a day full of achievements and memorable moments. Every athlete should be incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented the college.
Congratulations to all who competed, and best of luck to those progressing to the Regional Round.
