Carmel College was alive with the excitement of books, stories and imagination as students came together to enjoy our Reading Festival 2026.
The day was a fantastic celebration of reading, providing opportunities for students to share their favourite books, discover new authors and take part in a range of engaging activities. From thought-provoking discussions to creative challenges, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
It was wonderful to see so many students embracing the event and celebrating the power of reading together. The festival was filled with enthusiasm, laughter and a genuine appreciation for the stories that inspire, entertain and educate us.
As part of the National Year of Reading 2026, the event also served as an important reminder that reading is for everyone. Whether it's fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, history, sport or science, there is a book out there waiting to spark every reader's interest.
At Carmel, we are passionate about fostering a lifelong love of reading and helping students discover the enjoyment, knowledge and opportunities that books can bring.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. We are already looking forward to next year's festival!
