Carmel College is celebrating the dedication and leadership of its students, as Year 11 pupils—soon to become Year 12—returned to college to take part in safeguarding and peer mentoring training.
Giving up part of their well-earned break following GCSE exams, the students demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting others and contributing to the college community.
Supporting the Next Generation of Carmelites
The training marks the beginning of Carmel’s “6 for 6 Programme”, an initiative designed to support new students as they transition into secondary school.
As part of the programme, the trained students will play a key role during the upcoming Year 7 induction days on 25th and 26th June, where they will help younger pupils settle into life at Carmel.
Living Out the Carmel Mission
Staff at Carmel College praised the students for their willingness to give back and support others. By volunteering their time and effort, they are already demonstrating leadership and compassion.
Their actions reflect the college’s mission of “Life to the Full”, putting the needs of others first and helping to build a strong, supportive community.
Well done to all involved—an inspiring start to a programme that will make a real difference.
