Outstanding Performances and Record-Breaking Success
Yesterday, Team Carmel proudly took to the track at Monkton Stadium for the first round of the English Schools Track & Field Cup, with an impressive 60 students from Years 7–10 representing the college.
It was a fantastic day of competition, with outstanding performances across the board. Our students demonstrated incredible determination, teamwork and school spirit, rising to the challenge against some of the strongest schools in the region. The atmosphere throughout the event was electric, with every athlete giving their all and supporting one another.
A special congratulations goes to Ollie, who broke the school’s 1500m record, and to Charlie, who set a new school record in the discus—two exceptional achievements that made the day even more memorable.
We are immensely proud of every student who took part. Their commitment, enthusiasm and positive attitude truly represent the very best of the Carmel College community.
