What a magnifique day we had yesterday as Carmel celebrated Francophonie Day — a joyful celebration of French language, culture, and creativity!

A huge merci beaucoup to Madame Frank for bringing the spirit of la francophonie to life across the college. There were surprises, smiles, and plenty of “ooh la la!” moments throughout the day.

What We Got Up To

  • Ratatouille on the menu at lunchtime — a très délicieux treat enjoyed by many!
  • A whole-school “chasse au trésor” scavenger hunt, with students tracking down French‑speaking countries from across the world.
  • And of course… incredible cardboard Eiffel Towers, lovingly crafted and proudly displayed!

From start to finish, the day was packed with language, culture, fun, and plenty of French flair. It was a wonderful reminder that learning a language can take you on a journey — even without leaving the classroom!
