World Book Day is always a highlight in our calendar, and this year has been no exception! Our school has been filled with creativity, excitement, and a shared love of reading as students across the College joined in the celebrations.

One of the standout moments of the day has been the incredible bookmark designs created by our talented students. We’re delighted to showcase Zoe, one of our outstanding World Book Day bookmark designers! 


Two winning designs were selected this year, and both have now been professionally printed for students to enjoy. Every student was welcomed to collect their bookmark from the LRC, along with their £1 World Book Day book token—the perfect opportunity to discover a new story.

Our library has also been buzzing with activity, with 250 World Book Day books ready to be swapped. Students have been exchanging their tokens for brand-new reads, helping to spark fresh interest and excitement around reading for pleasure.

A huge well done to Zoe and to all students who entered the competition. Your creativity, imagination, and enthusiasm for reading truly bring World Book Day to life here at Carmel.
