This week, our U15 Girls faced Prince Henry’s in the first round of the English Schools Cup, delivering a performance full of determination, skill, and teamwork.
From the first whistle, both teams showed real quality, setting the tone for a competitive and exciting match. Carmel made the breakthrough after some outstanding play from Imogen, who found Elsie in space. Elsie kept her cool and finished brilliantly to give Carmel the early lead. Soon after, Maddie doubled our advantage with a composed and well‑taken goal.
After the break, Prince Henry’s came out firing. Using their pace out wide, they scored two quick goals to level the match, putting real pressure on the Carmel defence. But our girls dug deep — blocking, tackling, and staying strong to keep themselves in the game.
The decisive moment came when Jess delivered a perfectly timed through‑ball to Imogen, who showed superb composure to slot home the winning goal. A moment of real quality to seal the victory!
This was a high‑quality, hard‑fought match, with impressive performances across the pitch.
