A Fantastic Day at Eden Grange Fishery
A group of 15 enthusiastic anglers from Carmel College in Darlington enjoyed a brilliant day at Eden Grange Fishery as part of the first-ever Carmel College Fishing Competition.
Accompanied by Mr McCann and Mrs Atherton, students spent the day testing their patience, skill and teamwork while enjoying time outdoors in a beautiful natural setting.
Impressive Catches All Round
There were plenty of fantastic catches throughout the competition, including an impressive 7lb fish landed by Harrison.
Meanwhile, Koby proved that not all successful catches have fins by rescuing a fishing mat from the water, adding a memorable and amusing moment to the day.
By the end of the competition, students had collectively caught more than 350lb of fish, with every fish handled carefully and safely returned to the pond.
Results to Be Revealed
While the competition produced some impressive performances, the identity of the overall winner remains a closely guarded secret.
The champion will be announced during the End of Year Mass, with students eagerly awaiting the final results.
Celebrating Skill, Patience and Teamwork
The inaugural event was a tremendous success and provided a wonderful opportunity for students to develop new skills, enjoy the outdoors and spend time together.
