Y6/Y7 TRANSITION DAYS AND MASS ![]()
We were delighted to welcome our new Year 7 students into College ovet the past two days. They have been enjoying a taste of what life is like in Carmel from the exciting lessons, fantastic food to our superb facilities. Our Transition days came to a close with a beautiful Mass celebrated by Father Kevin accompanied with joyful singing from all present. Many thanks to all our current students who helped in Mass and looked after our new students over the past two days. We can’t wait to see you all in your Carmel uniforms in September! Y8 TOWN CUP CHAMPIONS!![]()
Carmel Y8 boys football team won the Darlington Town Cup with a 4-0 win over Hurworth. ![]()
Carmel went in 1-0 at half time and managed to increase their lead midway through the second half going on to score 2 goals late in the game. ![]()
The attitude and application from every single one of the players was absolutely first class and they all played an important role in the win. Special mention goes to Carmel captain and man of the match Niall Armstrong who scored 3 excellent goals. ![]()
The victory brings to an end a very successful season in which the team were Darlington district league and cup winners. After being the first team ever to reach two county cup finals in the same season and being narrowly defeated in both, this was an excellent way to finish the season. ![]()
We now look forward to defending our trophy’s in Y9, trying to go one better in the county cup as well as entering 2 national cups which the boys are really looking forward to. ⚽️ 🏆🥇🥇🥇🥇🏆🏆🙌🙌🙌🙌

THE FOURTEENTH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME (C)![]()
In the Gospel at Mass today, Jesus sends out the 12 disciples to bring healing and forgiveness to the world. They are sent out to bring the Good News to those who haven't heard it. Jesus explains that this is not an easy task and that it will involve hardship and danger. He instructs them to bring 'peace' to each place they visit.
At the end of each Mass, we are 'sent out' in the same way as the disciples, 'glorifying the Lord by our life.'
We pray today for the confidence and self-belief to be a true disciple of Jesus, taking the message of acceptance and love to those who need it most. #BEINGADISCIPLE #HolyMass
