72 students visited Italy on the annual Carmel Ski Trip. The students were a credit to the school, their families and themselves and all in attendance had a fantastic time. The week included swimming, quizzes, discos and the ever more popular fancy dress talent show, and, of course, skiing in which all pupils made a huge amount of progress. The week came to an end with the competitive slalom race in which Anna Shorten was crowned champion, Tom Park-Bradley, runner up and last years defending champion Cecile Gibson was 3rd.

Swimmers’ Selfie With Diving Legend Tom Daley

Category : PE , Sport

The sixth-form girls swimming team of Milly Anderson, Alice Day, Olivia Halliday and Niamh Sweeney competed in the English Schools’ Swimming Championships at the Olympic Pool in Stratford. The competition was fierce with only 30 schools qualifying for the finals. They all embraced the occasion and swam really well to finish 25th in the Medley relay and 26th in the Freestyle relay. A big thank you to their parents who travelled down to support the swimmers, especially Tony Day, who himself represented GB in two Olympic games, for his excellent team management.

The highlight for the girls was meeting Olympic and World Championship diver Tom Daley, who had a selfie with the girls.
