Talented Trio Selected for National Championships
Three of the thirty-two athletes selected to represent Darlington in the English Schools’ Track and Field Championships are from Carmel College. The event is the pinnacle of school athletics in England and many competitors have gone on to represent Great Britain in the Olympics, European and Commonwealth Games.
Darcey Garbutt will contest the Junior Girls 100m, Nathaniel Bell in the Junior Boys 300m and India Pentland in the Senior Girls 1500m. They will travel to the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham and compete on the 12th and 13th July. They will be accompanied by Mr Hannaford who is a team manager. We wish them all the best of luck!
